Supporting Families Affected by the April 2024 Floods: Extending Love, Relief, and Hope
In April 2024, devastating floods in Kenya displaced thousands of families, destroying homes and leaving many without basic necessities. As part of our ongoing mission to support vulnerable communities, Vine Harvest Education & Shoe Foundation (VHESF) responded quickly to provide urgent relief to those affected.
With the help of our generous donors and partners, we distributed emergency supplies—including foodstuffs, mattresses, and essential household items—to families in desperate need. But beyond these physical provisions, we offered something just as vital: compassion, emotional support, and a sense of hope during one of the most challenging moments in their lives.
While educational support for orphaned and needy children in Kenya remains at the heart of our work, we recognize that a child’s journey to success is deeply influenced by the stability of their home environment. In times of natural disasters, like the 2024 Kenya floods, nonprofits like Vine Harvest play a critical role in helping families rebuild and recover.
We are grateful to God for the strength and opportunity to serve these families. As they begin the difficult process of resettling and rebuilding their lives, VHESF stands with them—not just in words, but through ongoing support, prayer, and presence.
Looking ahead, we remain committed to uplifting children and families in low-income communities across Kenya, whether through education sponsorships, disaster response efforts, or simply being there when they need us most.
